i have just starting coming to this website, and i agree with Daniel - the music is a little much. but i think this website is going to be really helpful. i also think that it's a great way for teens to meet and make friends and support each other. especially during high school and even junior high.

The layout is pretty cool I guess..the music could get to drive me nuts though! Maybe some actual songs or something would be nice.
I'm a little discouraged by the fact that there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of activity (although I haven't seen a chat yet so I can't judge that just yet), but I'm not all that surprised based on experiences with my church and the WELS in general, even online. I know for a fact I'm the one of only six WELS members on Christian forums..none of the other one's are teens either. Many of the teens there are baptists. But anyways.
So yeah. I give the site a thumbs up. Maybe if these discussions were posted in a forum layout it would be easier to communicate? Just a thought.

This website is sweet. It's for teens, so it's not so stiff as some other sites. And you can chat with a bunch of different people with different views and get new ideas. it's a great way to broaden your ideas and thoughts. It's also cool so that if you don't go to a Christian school, and your not constantly surrounded by Christian kids, you don't think that your the only Christian teen out there.

I think its a really cool websites. Its a place were christian teens can come and talk to others just like them and get advice from people who are in the same situation. I also think the new look is very cool.

I like the look of the website; I think its a little harder to navigate with the new look, though.

Alicia, I assume you are talking about the online posting of the chat script??? I think that's done to allow those interested in the topic, but who could not participate, to see what "went down." I think this is not unusual for anybody's chat. I would hope that someone in a live chat would realize it's not that private. I certainly do. Even the "private" conversations could be risky, if total anonimity is the goal. The chat is good for getting people to talk, share, learn, network a bit, and encourage. If you need some spiritual advice but are afraid of others finding something out about you that you want to keep more private, use the LB Q&A. Also, use a bogus name...like Rex!

i was on a livingbold chat a few weeks ago...i was careful not to say anything personal. and i think its cool that other people can learn good stuff about God from the chat discussion being posted. if i wanted to say something to someone without everyone in the room (and the world) seeing it, i private chatted with them. btw, what chat are you referring to on the 9th???
Alicia wrote on October 4, 2007 at 9:20 PM:
well well well...look whos posting conversations online.
i feel that private conversations in a chat room are between the speaker and the members of the room, not for the whole world to see. What if something personal had been said?! The whole world could find out about it, LITERALLY! I was thinking about going into the chat on the 9th and inviting some freinds, but on second thought, maybe i wont. I dont wont the world to know what I'm talking to a pastor about...

What does Lutheran liturgy have to do with a Web site? And how should a "Lutheran" Web site look? I found the Word of God on this site in its truth and purity...can't get much more Lutheran than that. It's not about the package; it's about the content.

I think this looks more like an evangelical or charismatic website than a Lutheran one. I hope thoughful youtht (and others) will revive the classical Lutheran liturg and stop adapting to contemporary society.
