The Number One Person In Your Life
READ: Exodus 32:7-14
Joshua and his family were regular church goers. He went to a Lutheran grade school and was currently attending a Lutheran high school. Joshua always answered questions in his religion class and was always attentive in chapel. Lately, however, he had been falling asleep in chapel and felt that doing other homework was more important than God.
This was much like the children of Israel. They felt that their idols were more important than God, as related in Exodus 32:14. God tells us of the outcome of this wicked behavior in Exodus 32:10. He says, “My anger will burn against these stiff-necked people and they will be destroyed.”
We should always try to make God our Father the number one priority in our lives because He sent His one and only Son to die for us.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: What do you tend to put before God? How can we try to make sure He is the number one focus in your life? Why should He be the number one person on your list?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Pray to God to keep you strong in faith and keep Him as the focus of your life.
