Royal Stewardship

Our mission changes throughout the year

but Christians do not “give to the mission.”

Our stewardship of money is first of all

thanksgiving, our love gift to God in response

to the love we have experienced from Him.

Christians give to their Lord, not to a mission.

Christian stewardship of money is a form

of praise.  It is our way of honoring God

and lifting Him up as most important in life.

Christian stewardship of money is planned.

Christians start thinking about distributing

God’s gifts the moment they arrive and set

aside what they plan to give.

Christian stewardship of money is proportionate.

To whom much is given, of them much is expected

but God gives something to every one.  A small

gift is as great a honor as a large one if we have

been given little to manage for Him.

Christian stewardship of money is generous.  We

have been given the privilege of “being God” to

those who receive our gifts.  As His kings in this

world we represent His generosity in our giving.

Christian stewardship of money is timely.  We

respond to special needs as God makes us aware

of them.  We are Jesus’ hands as we practice

stewardship of His money.
