Sweet Salvation
READ: ACTS 4:8-12
How often do you find yourself "worshiping" something other than God? Do you ever find yourself putting things before God? Money, other people, yourself? As we all know, this is very wrong, and according to God's Word, something we are not to do. As sinful humans, we all too Often do this, forgetting that these are not the things that are important for our salvation.
Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, tells us in Acts 4:12, "...Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." This is a very powerful message, packed with a lot of important information. Not only does it tell us that we are saved through Jesus alone, but reminds us that we are not to put anything else before God.
How wonderful this is! It is very comforting to know that our salvation rests in God's hands. After all, would you feel safe with your salvation in someone else's hands, or in money? This is portion of God's Word, though small, has such a strong and important message. Remember to always put God first, because He and only He holds our salvation.

PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Pray that you look only to God for salvation. Thank God for giving you your salvation. Pray that others may know the salvation that God has given to us.
