Sharing Christ with Others
READ: 1 CORINTHIANS 9:16-23
I don't know about you, but I am the type of person who doesn't go around telling people about Jesus. Don't get me wrong, I will if the opportunity comes along. However, my biggest flaw is that 1 don't make opportunities for myself to talk to people about God.
This all changed though. It all changed when I was with one of my friends at State Fair last year. Any chance she gets, she will tell someone they are saved. Well, we were talking to some people we had just met, and all of a sudden she started talking about Jesus. They listened intently. I was so proud to have a friend like her and I really wanted to be like her.
I asked her how she had the courage to talk to people about Jesus. She said that she knew that God would help her, and before she says anything, she says a little prayer asking God to give her the courage. She also said that of course some people laugh at her, but that just makes her want to tell more people.
After that incident, I started telling more people about the Savior. In 1 Corinthians 9:16-23 it says that the wonder of our preaching the Gospel is that "I may offer it free of charge." Remember that God's Word is the Saving Truth, so spread it as far as you can.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: Do I spread God's Word as much as I should? Do I do good things, expecting a reward? How can you openly show you are a Christian?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Pray for the confidence to tell others about their Savior. Ask God to give all people the confidence to tell the saving truth. Thank God for sending His Son.
