If you cannot sing like angels, if you cannot preach like Paul...

READ: ACTS 8:26-40
"Oh, man!!! I can't believe this elevator is stuck! I'm late for a meeting and God decides to pull this on me."
You're stuck in an elevator with an angry man who is obviously mad at God for something. All you can do is sit and wait for the repairman. Or is it? This would be the perfect opportunity for you to share the love of our Lord God with this angry man. He obviously needs a little help in his life and who better to give it to him than his Savior. Maybe he doesn't have a church home. Or maybe he has been falling away from his current church home. By taking just a few moments to reassure him that Jesus is with him may be just what he needs to get back on the right path.
As our text shows us, opportunities abound for outreach. They may show up in the most unlikely of places, like on the roadside, as Philip found out. Philip was not planning on meeting anyone on that road. He just followed God's instructions and there was a man that needed some help. We should also follow God's instructions and, "Make disciples of all nations..." We are living in a world where hate and sin are everywhere, but this very cesspool of sin is where the Gospel is needed the most.
Even if you can't sing or speak very well, God will be with you and give you the words to say. We can preach the love of Jesus, we can say He died for all...
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: When have you had the opportunity to share the Gospel, and did it? When did you have the opportunity to share the Gospel, but did not? How does God help us with preaching the Gospel?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Pray for help in finding the words to say when witnessing. Pray for the unbelievers that you may encounter, so that they may receive the Holy Spirit. Thank the Lord for giving you this great job of sharing His saving message.
