God Is With Us
READ: Isaiah 43: 1-7
Do your friends ever say to you, "I got your back?" They say this to let you know that they are there for you and they will help in time of need. It's nice to know someone has "got your back." As saved Christians, we can be assured that God has "got our backs."
In Isaiah, God tells the Israelites that even though they are going to experience some tough times, he has "got there back." God predicted through Isaiah the suffering the Israelites would endure at the hands of the Babylonians for their sins. But God assured his people that he would always protect them and that he would make good on his promise to send them a Savior. In Isaiah it says, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you."
Just as God promised the Israelites, he will be with us and "has our backs." We need to be patient, for though God's promises are never broken, they are fulfilled in his time. Trust God's promises - he has "got our backs."
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: How is God with us in our lives? How does God "have our backs?" Does God "have our backs" right now?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Praise God that he is with us forever. Pray for his continued blessings on us.
