Lord, Help! I Have a Problem...

READ: Matthew 11:25-30
Jim was a very out going person. He loved to be with his friends all the time. But Jim had a problem and that problem was that he would tell his parents that he was going to his sisters for the night. He was really going to party the entire night with his friends that his parents did not care for too much. At first he really did not think about it. Then while he was at the party, his conscience told him that this wasn’t right. That was a burden to him. He really wanted to tell someone, but de didn’t know who to tell.
Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden light.”
In this Jesus is telling us to come to him with all our troubles, no matter how dumb or unimportant they are. If we go to Jesus with our problems He will make sure that they will work out for the good. Another good reason to go to Jesus with a burden is that the advice He gives will be God pleasing.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: How will God answer my prayers? Can I go to God anytime? Will He really listen to all of my problems?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Help me to go to God all of the time with my troubles. Thank God for help with my problems.
