Your Savior Knows

READ: Romans 8:22-25
Stress. It is something that we all go through. School, work, and family life can keep us up late at night with deadlines, pressure, and obviously big bags under our eyes. The homework seems never-ending, your boss things you’re slacking on the job, and your parents haven’t seen you or clean dishes in weeks. Will it ever stop? Can it get any worse?
Before you scream your head off, think of your Savior. He knows what stress is. Think about being nailed to a cross. That could sure give me more than a headache. Jesus can not only understand what you are going through, but He can help you through it.
We need to remember Him in our toughest times. Before a test, after a terrible game, or anytime, anywhere, pray to your Savior for continued guidance. Prayer is a powerful tool that Jesus gave us as a gift. He wants us to use this tool to communicate with Him in times of trouble and thankfulness.
When it seems like you just can’t take it anymore, think of your best friend ever, your greatest treasure, your personal Savior from sin. He can bring you up when you are down and even assure you of everlasting joys in heaven. Try reading a portion of scripture when you’re no yourself. Psalm 23 is a calming Psalm that can put a smile on your face. Or, did you ever try reading verses of a hymn when you are stressed out? Hymns of praise can remind you just how powerful your God is.
He will always love you and is always by your side, especially when times get tough.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: Who alone can understand our earthly stress? What are some ways that you can focus on Jesus and not on stress?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Ask God to help you take time out for Him. Thank Him for creating heaven so that we can someday spend forever in paradise.
