Locker Problems
READ: Philippians 4:4-7
Have you ever had a problem in your life so bad that you start to blame God for it and you feel like banging your head into your locker? Well, it is at times like these when Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:4-5, “Rejoice in the Lord always.” This is so important, he even goes on to say, “I will say it again, Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all.”
We should not blame God for our troubles, but rejoice in Him for all the blessings He has given us. Just because God doesn’t give us something we want right away, doesn’t mean we should pout or complain. As Paul later says, “Do not be anxious, but by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Remember, God has done so much for us. Rejoice in His greatness and thank and praise Him.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: What have you done when all the pressures seem to pile up? Why would someone blame God for all their troubles? What should they do?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Pray for a friend who is in trouble. Ask God to be with you in your times of trouble. Thank God for always taking care of you.
