The Power of Prayer

A couple of years ago, something happened that changed Brenda’s life. One weekend her mother became ill with a terrible headache. It lasted through the week. Her mother wondered what could possibly be wrong, so finally, she went to the doctor. He ran a number of tests before realizing that Brenda’s mom had a brain hemorrhage. They had to operate to cut off the bleeding. The doctors weren’t certain the operation would work and if it didn’t, complications such as becoming paralyzed could arise. Brenda and her family prayed for their loved one. Before this experience, Brenda doubted God and didn’t believe that asking God for help through prayer would work.
In the end, the operation went well and her mom was going to be all right. Brenda now realized how powerful prayer was and that God was there to help her.
