Fight the Good Fight

READJohn 4:1-26, 39-42

In this selection, Jesus showed us an example for witnessing.  He went where the people were and He opened the conversation.  He caused the woman to be curious.  The woman wanted to know more about what Jesus was telling her.  Jesus told the woman that He is Lord and pointed her to her sin.  The woman came to faith, and used (followed) Christ’s example.

There are people in darkness who need the light to see.  I am encouraging you to follow “The Lord’s Battle Plan” as he demonstrates with the Samaritan woman.  We shouldn’t keep the Gospel to ourselves.  Instead, we should be bold Christian witnesses and reach out to those who don’t know Christ.

Let’s be “soldiers under command” and fight the good fight of faith!

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:  How did Jesus witness to the Samaritan woman?  After Jesus witnessed to the Samaritan woman, what did she do?  What should we as Christians do?

PRAYER SUGGESTIONS:  Give thanks for the knowledge of God’s love that we have.  Seek courage to speak to friends about Jesus.  Seek wisdom to arouse curiosity to people that will cause them to desire to know what makes us different and special as Christians.
