God's Watchful Eye
READ: Luke 4:10
Danny and his friends were kicking a ball around on the playground. One of Danny’s buddies kicked the ball across the street and Danny ran out to get it. While crossing the street, Danny didn’t look for cars, or school buses. As Danny was running across the street, he slipped and fell on his belly as the bus driver slammed on the breaks. Danny ended up under the bus with only a scratch on his knee.
Call Danny lucky, but I don’t think so. I would say Danny has some alert guardian angels and a loving God who were keeping watch over him, as they do over all of us. So the next time you thank the Lord for something, don’t forget to thank Him for the powerful guardians He has sent to protect us.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: Discuss with your friends when a guardian angel has helped you escape physical harm. Sit down and think of all the ways God has helped you get through your day.
