God's Love
READ: Matthew 9:9-13
LOVE. God loves everyone. He doesn’t just love certain people, but everyone. God forgives everyone, why can’t we do the same?
Erin and Kelly were sitting at the lunch table discussing the sermon that they had in church on the previous Sunday. There was a girl sitting at the end of the table all by herself. She had no one to talk to. Erin and Kelly would not even think about inviting her into their conversation. Neither of them wanted to have anything to do with her because she was pregnant. Instead of ignoring her because of the sins she had committed, they should have let her hear God’s Word. Neither of them realized that hearing God’s Word could have helped her better understand her sins.
We should always remember how much love God has for everyone, and how everyone needs to hear God’s Word. We should always take advantage of opportunities to let someone who really needs to hear God’s Word know more about His love for us. We should never deprive anyone of hearing the Word of God. God loves us all the same. Everyone is good enough to hear God’s Word.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: Am I always going to forgive people just like God forgives me? Do I show love for others the way God says I should?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Ask God to give you the ability to forgive and love everyone around you, and to spread His Word to those who need to hear it.
