How Majestic Is God?
READ: Psalm 8
Jenna was on her summer vacation and her family decided to take a trip through Yellowstone National Park. While she was riding along in the car, she could not help but look outside and see how beautiful and majestic the scenery was. She saw rolling hills covered with many different trees and vegetation. She also saw many different kinds of animals interacting in a wildlife setting. This trip not only was beneficial for her life on earth, but it enriched her spiritual condition also.
Have you ever taken the time to stop and just marvel at the awesome works of God? If you have not, now is the time to set aside a few minutes to take a look around you at all of the wonderful ways in which God displays His majesty and splendor. In Psalm 8 we read that even the name of God is awesome. “O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is The name in all the earth!” Those that do not sit back and take time to enjoy His marvelous works are missing out on a wonderful part of their spiritual lives.
Do not let your life get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the world. Rather, take time to sit back and enjoy the marvelous aspects of our awesome God. This will help to strengthen your faith.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: When is the last time that you set aside some time to just marvel at God? What are the things you find most marvelous about God? How often do you thank and praise God for His majesty?
