It's Not Fair...Or Is It?

READ: Luke 18:1-8

"It's just not fair!" How often have we asked this of ourselves? "Why did my house get robbed while my neighbor's didn't? Why did someone I love die in a car accident while the one who caused it survived? How come I have to work so hard to get good grades while others pass a course dishonestly?"

Whoever said life was easy? Often we feel like we have been cheated, that there is no justice for us. However, there is justice, and He is God. In Luke 18:7 it says, "And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones who cry out to Him day and night?" We Christians have an advantage that no others have, and that's the privilege of prayer.

In Luke 18, Christ urges us to keep praying and not give up. Whatever happens on earth will only be temporary, but everlasting joy is in heaven. And guess what? We have already been declared just and right in God's eyes through Christ. That is why we shouldn't let our faith waver during our time on earth, but maintain true belief in Him through whom the Father will give us the final victory, and perfect justice!

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: Why does life seem so unfair at times? Why is prayer an advantage for Christians? When will we receive the final victory?

PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Ask God to strengthen your faith. Thank God for making you just through Christ. Ask God for help and forgiveness whenever you think life is unfair.
