The Way
READ: John 14:6
Teens often ask, "What are we going to do after high school?" There are so many different paths to choose from. We could go to college, go to a technical school, or just get a job right after school.
Which path do we choose? Why can't someone show us which path to take. We don't know the way to take. We need someone to show us the way. We need help deciding what is best for us.
On the other hand, the way to heaven is clearly marked for us. Jesus is our only way to heaven. God sent His Son to be the path and the way to heaven. Jesus' death on the cross ensured our everlasting life. Jesus is the truth we need to know to get to heaven. He is our way. "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." We need to follow that path. Jesus is our only way to heaven.
Follow Jesus and you will be saved. The path is marked for us. We just need to follow Jesus' lead. I wish deciding what to do after high school was that easy.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: Why is Jesus our only way to heaven? Why is there no other way to heaven? Why is this passage so important to us as Christians?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Pray that God would help with the decisions you have to make. Thank God for sending His Son. Pray for those who don't know the way.
