Friend to Friend
My cousin, Lisa, is a very nice and understanding girl. She does, however, have one problem—she has many fears locked up inside her. Lisa’s father is very sick. She doesn’t know how to handle it, so, what she does is avoid talking about it. She thinks that will make it go away. I try to tell her that she can talk to me about it, but sometimes she has trouble talking about these things. But then, other times she does talk to me about it and she feel a whole lot better.
This is a good example of how, if you need help, you should just go to someone and they will be there for you; especially God. God will always be there for you in your time of need. Don’t be afraid to go to God for help. Sometimes He might not answer your prayer right away, but just remember, He is doing what is best for you and whoever you are praying for. If He doesn’t answer right away, He might be trying to strengthen your faith or someone else’s. God knows what you are thinking, but you still need to pray to Him continuously.
God will always be there for you!!!
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: What would you do if God wasn’t there to help you through your troubles? How can we identify someone who feels overwhelmed by troubles? What is the simplest thing you can do as a Christian for someone who is in trouble? (Listen to him/her)
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Ask God to always be there when you are in trouble or in need of help. Thank God for the rescue you have experienced! Ask God to help you represent His salvation to others who are in trouble.
