Total Confidence
How many times have we heard others telling us to trust in the Lord over earthly things? Although we know that we should, how much trust do we actually place in our Lord? The answer should be 100%, but unfortunately for many of us, that isn’t he case.
There are so many times we forget to look to the Lord, who really is the only one that can deliver us from our troubles. In Psalm 118, God makes it clear to us that if we put complete trust in Him, He will help us through our troubles and stressful situations as He sees fit. He assures us that He will always be with us to help us triumph over our enemies.
He also tells us that when we’re in anguish, He will answer us by setting us free. In order for this to happen, however, we must put all of our trust in Him. After all, the Lord is more powerful than any man could ever be.
With Him, we have nothing to fear—man is powerless against Him.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: What can I do to strengthen this trust in my Lord? How many times do I find myself looking to others instead of the Lord? How can I change this?
