When parents are expecting a new baby, they spend weeks and months trying to pick a name for their new child.
They pick a variety of girl’s names and boys names. When Mary was expecting the birth of her son, she didn’t have to spend any time deciding what to name her child. An angel told Joseph that Mary will be having the Son of God, Jesus.
To parents, picking a name for their child is very important. In Mary’s case, an angel of the Lord came to her and told her the name of her child, so she didn’t have to worry about it.
