Face the Opposition
READ: 1 Corinthians 16:5-9
A drama is played out on the political stage all the time. We see it in news clips on a whole range of issues. People stand with placards on the steps of the capitol building. Some speak in support of legislation. Others speak against it.
Spiritually a similar drama plays out. There are those who believe in Jesus as Savior from sin and speak of His grace. There are those who do not believe and shout the lies of Satan. During our Lord’s time on earth, he had disciples who followed Him. He had the Sanhedrin who opposed His message of forgiveness of sins. Paul witnessed people who believed God’s Word. He saw those who opposed it.
We can expect more of the same as we go and make disciples of all nations. God will open doors to share the message. Be strong and courageous. Take advantage of the opportunity, even in the face of opposition.
