God Has a Plan for Us
READ: Jeremiah 29:11-14
I’m sure that all of us have spent some time thinking and planning for the future. Many of us plan to go to college. Many of us have some ideas of what we want to do for a living. Some of us, I’m sure, have no idea what we want. But knowing what we want or not, the fact is that the future that lies ahead is unknown.
We may not know the future, but God has a plan for us. In Jeremiah 29:11 God says He plans for us to prosper. That doesn’t mean we’re all going to be rich. But it does give us all a sense of hope. Whether we’re rich or not doesn’t matter. God’s plan for us is for our greatest good, according to his will, and ultimately brings us to heaven to praise His name forever. Knowing this should comfort all of us.
On this earth the unknown future awaits. But in faith, this shouldn’t bother us, because we know what lies ahead in our eternal future – life in heaven with our Savior Jesus.
