Giving Thanks to the Lord
READ: Psalm 100
We give thanks to the Lord every Sunday morning on a regular basis. However, just stop and think for a second. How often do you thank the Lord for the things that He blesses you with when you are not anywhere around your church, and it is the middle of the week?
We Christians have the comfort in knowing that we can go to our Lord Jesus Christ in prayer any time that we are having trouble. If we need to ask for help or guidance for something, we can also go to Him.
Did you ever thank God for being there to listen to your prayers or for the things that He blesses you with? The text says that we should “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name for the Lord is good and his love endures forever, his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
So, let us not forget to praise our Lord and thank Him for being there for us whenever we need Him. And give thanks for the most awesome gift, His Son Jesus, whose perfect life, innocent death, and glorious resurrection have given us salvation and new life!
