Come One, Come All!

READ: Matthew 22:1-14
Party Saturday at 8:00 PM at John’s house!
John invited many people to his party. It was gong to be a huge event. He bought tons of food and soda. Then he sent out the invitations, but they all came back with a “No” answer and an excuse why they couldn’t come. He sent them another invitation, but the answer came back the same. He then wondered what he would do with all the food that he bought, because there was no one to eat it. Finally, he decided he would go out into the town and invite all who wanted to come.
Matthew 22:1-14 talks about how a man had a great feast planned and invited the chosen guests, but they all replied with a “No.” He tried again, but they took his servants and killed them. He then sent out other servants and told them to bring people from the highways. God uses this story to tell about how He invited the Jews to heaven and had many prophets tell them, but they refused, so He invited the Gentiles instead.
God invites all people to His great feast. Thank God for asking us to go and letting us be His chosen people.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: When God calls you, how do you answer Him? In what ways does God call us today? How can you tell others about the invitation?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Thank God for inviting you to His great feast in heaven. Ask for help in inviting others to the great feast. Ask for help to be eager to learn His Word.
