Thankful for All that God Has Done

READ: Ephesians 1:16-23
In Ephesians 1:16-23, Paul reminds us of all that we should be thankful for that God did for us and gave us, especially the fact that He died and rose again for us. In today’s world we take many things for granted, such as a good day at school or work.
A couple of days ago I had a great day. I mean everything seemed to be going right. I got all my homework done right away. I found a whole nickel that day also. When I came home, my mother had cooked my favorite meal. However, when I went to bed, I forgot to thank the Lord for the wonderful day. The next morning I did remember, just as it says in Ephesians 1:16-23, “I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way."
Give thanks everyday for everything God has done for us and continues to do for us!
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: How often do you give thanks to the Lord for the things He has given you? When was the last time you gave thanks to the Lord for what He has given you?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Pray that you will not forget to thank God for everything He has done for you. Pray to God about how thankful you are that God has blessed you with the things He has given you. Thank God for being so merciful and dying on the cross for us and rising from the dead again to give us eternal life in heaven.
