I'm Hurt! Please Help Me!

READ: Psalm 31
Have you ever been in an accident where you have been hurt? If you were hurt, wouldn’t you want the ambulance, if someone called it? If we call for an ambulance, they will come and help us. They don’t tell us to try to call back because they are busy. Just as we depend on ambulances in our society today to come to our rescue physically, so we need to depend on God to come to our rescue spiritually. God can come to our rescue physically and spiritually. We are assured of God being a prayer away. God’s ambulance is never too busy when we may call for help.
A great feeling is knowing we can go to God when we need help. David speaks in Psalm 31 of God being “our rock” and “our fortress.” David said, “I trust in the Lord,” and God in His mercy helped him. David talked about being in trouble. He cried to the Lord for mercy. David says, “Be strong, take heart, all who hope in the Lord!” We should always and only trust in the Lord, our God, because He will always be there when we call.
God bestows His mercy on those who trust in Him. Therefore, if we trust in God, we have nothing to fear. Just remember, the next time something goes wrong in life, we should always pray. God’s ambulance is there to help you. It just might take you time to realize it.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: What shows that I put my full trust in the Lord? How do I know that God will work things out for the best? Do I thank God for the hardships He gives me as a loving lesson in life?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Ask God for help to always put your full trust in Him. Ask for reassurance to know that the hardships He gives us are out of love and for our good. Thank God for bestowing mercy on us sinful beings. Thank Him for always being there and helping us through all our trials.
