Tell Everyone

READ: Luke 24:44-53
Suppose you were a witness to a car accident. You would probably stay at the sight and wait for a police officer to arrive. You’d tell him exactly what happened; but, I’m sure this wouldn’t be the only person you would tell. You would probably tell your family, friends, and anyone else that you know about the accident. Not only would you get excited about telling them, you would want to be the first, so you could tell it exactly as it was, since you witnessed it first hand.
In the same way, like the apostles, we should want to be witnesses for our Lord Jesus. In the same enthusiastic way, because we are the witnesses of his love, we will want to be the first to share, in its truth and purity, the wonderful news of our salvation.
Our enthusiasm for telling should not limit us to a few people, people who already know of Christ, but to those who need to hear about it for the first time.
Our witness requires that we show no embarrassment for telling the truth. We should speak it out loudly and clearly.
The whole point is that God has given us everything for our salvation and it is free. God used mankind to share the message. We need to share.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: What should you do to prepare yourself to witness? In what way are you being enthusiastic to witness? Who are you witnessing to?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Pray for courage to witness for Christ. Pray for people who have not yet heard the good news of Christ. Thank God for the opportunities he gives us to witness.
