READLuke 15:1-10

If you were at the State Fair with ten little children and you noticed that one had wandered off somewhere, would you leave the other nine sitting there and look for him?  The majority of us would if there was someone to watch the other nine.  When we did find the lost little one we would be very happy and tell everyone what happened.

This is what Jesus did and wants us to do.  When we see someone going astray, we are to go and get them and lead them back into the right direction.  The parables Jesus told about the lost coin and lost sheep have a lot of meaning behind them.  The parable of the lost sheep says that, “there will be as much rejoicing for one sinner who repents than over ninety nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”  So, if we see just one person or one hundred people going astray, we have the privilege to be God's instrument in bringing them back.

If you see someone going astray, go and counsel them in the Word and point them to their Savior.  They will thank you in the long run and you will experience one of the joys of heaven.

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:  What was the most valuable thing you have ever lost?  When you have felt spiritually lost, how did you find redirection?  Have you ever led someone back in the right direction and how or what did you say to do that?

PRAYER SUGGESTIONS:  Pray you stay on the right path and do not go astray.  Pray others become part of the “right path.”  Thank God for letting you be one of His chosen people.
