Lord, Hear My Prayer

READ: Genesis 15:1-6
Have you ever gone up to your friend or a member of your family and asked them a question? Well, if you have, most of the time they answer you. If your friend or family member can’t answer you right away, you may tend to get frustrated. When we are curious or have a question, we always want an immediate answer. We always feel like we need to know everything.
When we need to know something, we can always share our need to God in prayer. God may not immediately or miraculously answer our prayer right away, but He will make sure we get what’s best for us.
In Genesis 15:1-6, Abraham wanted to know if he and Sarah were going to have children. God said to him, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”
God wants us to not worry because He will take care of it. Just as Abraham knew the Lord would take care of it, we too should know God will always give us what is best for our well being.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: What are some ways we can deal with a question until God has answered our prayer? Who are people that we can go to in time for comfort? What does God tell us about waiting in Genesis 15:1-6?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Ask God to help us to always trust in Him, no matter how long it takes for a prayer to be answered. Ask for help to be strong in our prayer life. Pray to remember to use those fellow Christians around us for comfort and strength.
