All Alone

READ: 1 Chronicles 28:20-21
I was slow getting out of bed one morning, sore from the previous day's practice. When my mother walked into my room to tell me to get up and that it was time for school, she paused for a moment, put her hand on my shoulder and said to me, “Don’t worry, everything is going to be all right.”
When I got to school, it turned out that that day was midterm grading. Mid-term was never fun, having to listen to teachers telling me all day that I need to work a little bit harder.
Then as the end of the day came, still a little sore, I dragged myself to practice. I thought the coach was a little crazy for making us run an extra wind sprint and giving us a harder workout than ever before. He was by my side the entire practice telling me to “push it,” or to, “just go a little faster; you can do it.”
After a whole day of people telling me to work harder, I kind of thought to myself, “I'm doing all this work by myself—for myself.” I thought, “Why should anyone care how I do—it’s my life?”
After reading this Bible verse, I was reminded that I'm not alone in anything I do. In addition to his promise to be with us always, God has given us all the people we need for the tasks at hand. Just like Solomon had layman, priests and others to help him to build the temple, and David to give him advice and encouragement, God has also given us teachers and parents to help us build our lives, and to give us advice and encouragement.
We are never alone in this world to do something by ourselves. God has placed his servants in each part of our lives to guide, encourage and help us. And he himself is with us, as he promises, "Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: How many people are there in your life to help you when you need it? How do you know that God is really helping me? Would God ever take this away from you? If yes or no, why?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Thank God for sending these people into your life. Thank God also for being there for you and never letting you down. Pray that He will be with you when you give advice to others.
