No Doubt
Exodus 5:22,23 - Moses returned to the LORD and said, "O Lord, why have you brought trouble upon this people? Is this why you sent me? Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble upon this people, and you have not rescued your people at all."
The Israelites had cried out for centuries to be rescued, and now Moses is starting to lack trust, too. You can just hear the disappointment in his voice: "and you have not rescued your people at all."
Even God's great human leaders have their doubts at times. That's one of Satan's favorite weapons, getting us to doubt God (just ask Eve!). That's why when it comes to trusting God, we dare never rely on our feelings or ourselves. "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." (1 Peter 3:18a) Nothing depends on us. Christ did it all. Nothing can change that fact, no matter how you or I feel today, tomorrow, or the next day. Rather, God's love in Christ gives us the strength, confidence, and hope to face each new day.
