No Pain
READ: Isaiah 65:17-25
Sorrow and pain, everybody experiences it and has to go through it. You see pain everyday on the news. Christ himself experienced pain, the greatest pain that anyone could ever endure. Imagine all the sins that you ever committed and being beaten and tortured and then being crucified to pay for all those sins. All the guilt of everybody who was ever born and ever is to be born was on His thoughts and conscience. Only the Son of God alone could do something that special for us.
Our pain is temporary and will be short lived. In this passage it says, “…and the voice of weeping will be heard no more,” and “…be glad that I create a new heaven and new earth.” These passages remind us that our sufferings here on this earth will soon be over and that we will weep no more. God also promises that we will enjoy eternal bliss in a new earth and heaven. By grace through faith, we hold to these promises and joyfully praise and serve him, no matter what.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: Who alone paid for the sins of the world? How come we couldn’t pay for our own sins?
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS: Thank God for bringing you to this world and pray that He would keep you in the faith until the end of the world so that you can live with Him in eternity.
