Attitudes - Perception
- Acts 16:25 - Despite Paul and Silas' dire situation, they sang praises to God, encouraging one another in song and witnessing to others in jail with them.
- 2 Corinthians 4:7-10, 16-18 - For Christians, things may seem grim at times outwardly, but inwardly we hold tihgtly to the promises of God and the hope of heaven.
- Philippians 1:21 - In Christ, life has meaning and purpose, and death brings an even greater reward (heaven).
- Philippians 4:6-8 - God is concerned for all things for us and grants peace to those who place their concerns on Him. Additionally, life's problems are not to be our focus; rather, we are to focus on all things excellent and praiseworthy.
- Philippians 4:11-13 - A Christian's strength is not found in sucess or material wealth, but in Christ alone.
- Colossians 3:1-4, 15-16 - Our hearts and minds are set on the things of God and heaven, not on the things of this life. Also, in Christ we have peace and are thankful. Our focus is not on ourselves, but in teaching the admonishing one another in the Word of God.
