Our Busy Lives

By Hannah

Every teenager’s life is hectic.  We are busy with homework, sports, and jobs.  So when is there time for the Lord?  Some may think that going to church on Sundays is enough.  But what else can teenagers do so that we spend more time with God?

Even though our lives are terribly busy, we can give God time in our lives during the week.  After all, Jesus did die on the cross for us.  The least we could do would be to give Him some of our time.  We don’t have to watch our favorite TV show or spend time on the computer.  Instead, we could take some time alone and just read the Bible.  I know that teenagers are tired at night and want to go to bed the minute our head touches that pillow, but we could squeeze in a five minute devotion.  Also, prayer is a great way to spend time with God.  Talk to God like he is your best friend.  Tell Him your problems and needs and don’t forget to thank Him for the wonderful things He has done for you.  Prayer is an awesome way to start and end the day!  Pray before a hard test, or pray a prayer of thanksgiving after you got an A on a hard test!  Hosea 10:12b says, “for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers righteousness on you.”  It is time to seek the Lord.  It’s time to spend more time with Him.  Make time for God and watch your faith grow!
