Making Others Feel Loved

By William

Sharing JoyFriendship can be a sticky situation. As a friend you are supposed to be there in times of trouble and hardship, but what about normal everyday life? Can you take a break from being friend?

A true friend will always be there for you no matter what is going on in their own lives. I have dedicated a big portion of my life to making my friends, and just the people around me, feel happy and loved. My friends who I try to make happy everyday give me a thank you here and there, but none of them really appreciate all that I do.

Why am I so obsessed with making others happy? Jesus says, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Making others happy makes me happy. I don’t care about the money I have. If I can take that money and make my friends happy then that will make my day complete. I know my friends cannot see it now, but later on in life they will look back and see the way I treated them and maybe that will make them do the same. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us, the least we can do is spread his word, do everything to his honor, and  spread our joy as Christians. I may not be the most talented speaker, I may not be the most gifted academically or athletically, and I may never do anything to change the world, but I can do one thing, make the people around me feel loved.
