Like most guy teenagers at the age of 15 or 16, I love sports. I believe if there were no sports in school, that those 9 months would feel like an eternity. If you name a sport, I bet that I’ve played it. Sports is my life.

There is nothing worse than getting hurt during the middle of one of your favorite sports. Recently, I tore my MCL and the capsule that holds it to the knee in one of our last games of the year. Now all I can do is sit on the sidelines and watch my team try and finish out our undefeated season.

One repeated occurrence that helped me get over the thought that I couldn’t finish my season was when someone told me that they were praying for me. Numerous amounts of people came up to me and told me that I should stay strong in the Lord and that he would do whatever was best for me. Just those few words reassured me a lot. They were letting their light shine for the Lord just through a couple sentences. Seeing them show their love for the Lord inspires me to do the same for my God.

And now I pass this challenge to you: show your love for the Lord by the way you interact with all people. And for those of you who know how bad it feels to sit out as you watch your team play, don’t put the Lord on the sidelines. Resist the devil taking control. Let Jesus Christ run the game.
