Come and See

By Emily

Come to the Garden; come and see
The Savior down on bended knee—
True God, yet lifts His voice on high.
He prays for us, consents to die. Your will be done!

Come with the soldiers; come and see
A traitor’s kiss, disciples flee.
This uncomplaining man will win
Eternal life, release from sin. Your will be done!

Come with the rabble; come and see.
He bears the taunts so silently.
Sinless He lived, and yet they cry,
“He’s guilty! Guilty! Crucify!” Your will be done!

Come up the hill now; come and see
The cross up high on Calvary.
Come weep and mourn; come look and sigh.
For all our sins the Lord must die. Your will be done!

Come with the women; come and see
An empty tomb. Lord, can it be?
Jesus is living; it is done!
He rose, and now the victory’s won! Your will be done!

Come with your Savior, come and live.
He died eternal life to give!
Give Him your life that it may be
A testament to Calvary! Your will be done!
