God

He is the Father,
He is the One and Only Son,
He is the Holy Spirit,
All three in one.
How this can be, we simply do not know,
For if we ever tried to grasp it,
Our minds would concede woe.
He is the Father,
Controller of the living and the dead,
He is the Great One,
Always clever, one step ahead.
He is eternal,
The tender, loving Son,
He is merciful,
The forgiving, kind, and compassionate one.
He is the Holy Spirit,
The faithful, helping friend,
He is always there,
As we walk our paths, he’s there to tend.
We simply cannot fathom,
How all this God can be,
But this we do know,
He promises to eventually let us see.
